Kamor was born on October 3, 1969 and holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering, and a post-graduate qualification in Corporate Finance and Administration. During the late 1990s and early 2010s, Kamor worked in the oil and gas industry both in Nigeria and Europe.He is the Executive Chairman of MPAC, A Lagos State based Muslim public affairs agency.

Kamor's views as the Executive Chairman of the Muslim Public Affairs Centre are often quoted in the press. He has contributed immersely towards the wellbeing of the country and expecially to Islam. His main duties as the chairman is to Providing strategic leadership;Setting strategy;Ensuring the human and financial resources are available to achieve objectives;Reviewing management performance;Setting the organization’s values and standards;Ensuring that obligations to service receivers and stakeholders are understood and met;Oversees compliance and adherence to the organization mission statement.
