Ndubisi Ifeanyi Nwokoma is a Professor and Head of the Department of Economics in the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. Until recently, he worked at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as Chief of Financing, Industry and Investment in the Economic Development and NEPAD Division on a Leave of Absence from the University between 2010 and 2012.
He returned to the formal university system when he joined the Department of Economics in the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria in 2001. Currently, he teaches Quantitative Economics, Economic Theory and Financial Markets and Policy. His current research interests include Macro-economic Policy, Econometric Modelling and Money and Capital Markets. He has attended numerous training programmes and conferences within and outside Nigeria and is well published with a good number of recognised publications in local and international journals and book chapters. He is a member of many professional associations including the American Economic Association, African Finance and Economics Association, African Econometrics Society, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and Life member of the Nigerian Economic Society.
