Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin, popularly known as Teju Babyface by fans and friends,has garnered for himself, Impeccable achievement, Recognition and multiple awards which are testaments of a multi talented Icon in the world’s entertainment industry. He is a Nigerian political satirist, inspirational speaker, talk show host, Master of Ceremonies, television producer, stand-up comedian and actor who has severally been referred to as the King of Talk.He was born on 20th January 1979, into the family of Late Prince Jacob Gbadegesin Oyelakin and Mrs Ajike Ebunoluwa Oyelakinand hails from Ogbomosho South Local Government area of Oyo State, Nigeria.
Teju felt the movie did not help his dreams of being the acclaimed actor he so much craved to be, He eventually got another chance to act a year later as in much the same way. He came to the attention of another legendary director, the late Amaka Igwe, whilst acting in a play directed by Bunmi Davies at the MusonCenter in Lagos. After several auditions, he was given the role of ‘Des’ in Ms.Igwe’s then forthcoming hit, ‘Solitaire’. Featuring top actors like Richard Mofe-Damijo, KeppyEkpenyong, Ireti Doyle, Barbara Soky and others, all the great expectations for Solitaire were not met as the series hit television screens years behind schedule. Whilst waiting for Solitaire to hit the screens, he acted in another TV series called ‘One Too Much’ with a then unknown Desmond Elliot which was received by viewers averagely during these times.
